To know Him more:
Lord, I want to know you more.
I want to know One who touched untouchable lepers.
I want to know the One who wrote sentences in the dust while onlookers watched, stones clenched in hands.
I want to know the One who upended the money lenders tables.
I want to know One whose hands blessed children turned away by others, who touching a brow, reassured the onlookers she’s not dead, she’s just asleep.
I want to know the One whose hands folded in on themselves in sleep, while others strained to row against the gathering storm.
I want to know the One whose hands received a cup of water from an outcast woman, and who scooping up mud from the ground, healed blind eyes.
I want to know you more Lord.
I want to better know the One, who now has nailed scared hands, all for my sake.
I want to know the height,
and breadth of your love.
Will come to me afresh this day I ask.
Come reveal your heart to my heart as the One who holds stars in His hands, and whose promise to me is to let no one pluck me out of those same hands. Whose promise to to never leave me, never!
And this I pray, in Jesus name.
